How old do you have to be to visit Aspers Casino?

Guests are required to show either valid photo identification or an Aspers World rewards card at point of entry.

Do I need to carry any ID when I visit the casino?

You need to carry valid photo identification (copies will not be accepted) if you look under 25 years of age

Please note, to buy in or cash out £1,500 or more, Aspers World Membership is required (including valid photo ID)

When is Aspers Casino open?

We’re open;
Monday to Thursday – Midday – 4am
Weekends – Open 24 hours - from midday Friday to 4am Monday morning

Is there a door fee?

Entry to Aspers Casino is free of charge. There is no door fee.

Do I need to be a member to visit?

You don’t need to be a member to visit Aspers Casino.

What if I’ve never played before?

To give you a head start before you arrive at the casino we’ve made a series of ‘How to Play’ videos with introductions to casino classics like Blackjack and Roulette. You can watch them here.

Is there a dress code at Aspers Casino?

We pride ourselves on creating a lively and fun atmosphere for our guests at Aspers casino Newcastle.

To make sure the ambiance of the casino is kept smart, relaxed and stylish, all of our guests are asked to follow a smart-casual dress code.

Wearing the follow items may mean you are refused entry to the casino:

  • Caps, hoods and headcoverings are not permitted inside the casino
  • Soiled and ripped clothing
  • Working clothing
  • Clothing with extreme wording
  • Vests, sleeveless shirts
  • Swimming shorts or cut-off jeans
  • Tracksuits
  • Steel toe capped boots/shoes or trainers
  • T-shirts or sweatshirts with adult slogans or images

In addition, with Newcastle United home games on our doorstep, away team shirts of the opposing team are not able to be worn on that home match days within the casino.

Where is Aspers Casino?

The casino is located on the 1st floor of The Gate Complex, Newgate Street, Newcastle upon Tyne. To find out how to get to us via The Gate please click here.

You can also access the casino via our ground floor Stowell Street entrance, located in Newcastle’s busy China Town. The closest public transport link to this entrance is via St. James’ Park Metro.

Can I park at Aspers Casino?

Yes, please use The Gate Car Park which is located on Stowell St. Alternatively you can park at the NCP car park, also located on Stowell St. or St. James Park which is just a 2 minute walk from our Stowell St. entrance.
